How to play Slitherio Unblocked
- Choose a nickname and colour. Type a nickname on the Play tab and pick a snake colour.
- Set up your arena. Open Settings to choose a map shape, bot count, difficulty and graphics quality.
- Press Start Game. Press Start Game to drop into the arena with your snake.
- Steer and boost. Move the mouse, use WASD or arrow keys, or touch the screen. Hold Space or click to boost.
- Eat, grow and trap bots. Eat pellets and collect power-ups. Make bots hit your body to win their score.
- Avoid the hazards. Stay away from walls, other snakes' bodies, danger zones and black holes.

What is Slitherio Unblocked?
It is a free browser version of the classic snake survival game. You steer a glowing snake, eat pellets to grow, and defeat rival snakes by making them crash into your body or the arena wall.
Is it free and do I need to download anything?
Yes, it is completely free. It runs in your browser on desktop, tablet and phone, with no download, install or account.
Can I play Slitherio Unblocked at school or work?
The game loads as a normal web page and needs no plugins, so it works on most Chromebooks and school or office computers. Some networks still block game sites, in which case it will not load.
How do I move and boost?
On desktop, move the mouse or use WASD or the arrow keys, and hold Space or the mouse button to boost. On mobile, touch the screen to steer, or switch to the on-screen joystick in Settings. The boost button is always on screen on phones and tablets. Boosting burns a little score.
What do the power-ups do?
Speed Boost, Shield, Magnet, Ghost and Score x1.5 last for a limited time. Freeze, Shockwave and Lucky work instantly. Only a few appear on the map at once and each vanishes after about 12 seconds, so bots can grab them first. Shield also absorbs one hit.
How do I get a high score?
Eat pellets near the edges of the fight, avoid danger zones and black holes, and let big bots crash into you rather than chasing them. Chain kills within four seconds to build a combo.
What game modes are there?
Classic is endless survival. Time Attack gives you three minutes to score as high as you can. Zen has calmer bots and no danger zones or black holes. Pick a mode in Settings.

This is a custom-built, modern interpretation of the classic Snake-style massive multiplayer game. The 'Ultimate' edition features dynamic map shapes (Square, Circle, Hexagon), advanced AI bots with varying personalities, and scalable graphics quality.
The goal is simple: eat food to grow and eliminate other players by making them crash into your body or the map boundary.
